Home schooling has grown tremendously in the past few years and is continuing to grow. Research shows that homeschoolers do better on standardized testing, and stick in college longer. A recent study shows that 67% of homeschoolers graduated high school versus the 59% of public schoolers who graduated college. This difference in percentage may be due to the personalization in teaching style homeschoolers receive.   POW! has had the pleasure of being part of a physical education program for home schoolers for 5 years.  Currently, our Wednesday martial athletics program is offered each week at 10am for homeschoolers. We focus on self-defense and fitness.  Our training builds awareness and confidence, while enhancing the fitness level, strength and coordination of each child. Here are a few other homeschooling programs in the Chicagoland area if you are looking for recommendations.
