ABOUT US 
The POW! Gym located at 310 South Racine in Chicago’s West Loop. It is an Official Parisi Speed School. We are committed to training and developing the effort and movement mechanics of your child. Each child attends an evaluation before they are able to enroll in a program. Until an athlete knows his or her current ability, it is impossible to realistically recommend programming, create goals or monitor progress. TOTAL CONDITIONING

These classes focus on kids of all ages. The classes are designed to improve the overall physical fitness level of your child and create a foundation of strength that will carry with them into adult-hood. We make fitness and training fun, by creating appropriate goals and making your child realize that movement means healthy living.   These classes get kids off the sofa, off electronics and into having fun moving their bodies. We will build your child’s confidence and develop good exercise habits and awareness of nutrition.  Classes are 45 minutes long and incorporate fun and exciting modalities like medicine balls resistance bands, partner body weight exercises, ladders, plyometrics and yoga. This is not a competitive training class, we still expose these kids to basic Parisi Speed Training concepts.   If you would only like to enroll your child in Total Conditioning the cost is $65.00 a month.  This Total Conditioning membership does not include any the martial arts, judo, boxing or parisi speed school classes.

JUMP START

The Parisi Jump Start Program utilizes the most- up-to-date research to build a young athlete’s physical foundation and improve coordination and self-esteem. The signature speed and strength training methods are serious, but presented in a fun and friendly environment. We keep our kids engaged and motivated so their learn how to give a 110%.

The Jump Start classes will often be divided into two groups based upon the number of kids in the session. When this is the case, there is a Jump Start I class of 7-10 year olds and Jump Start II classes for kids 11-12 years old. Regardless of the division, our Performance Coaches are specifically trained to motivate and challenge the young athletes, while providing an age-appropriate training program. Jump Start will develop foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.

TOTAL PERFORMANCE

These small group classes are focused on athletes from 13-18 years old. This small group class corrects, builds and then enhances technique for speed, agility and strength. These young athletes experience a training regiment that will maximize their sports performance. Young athletes are also taught training etiquette. Once again we teach skills that are life-long.  At this level, programming is broken down into an individual focus during each session.

It is widely believed that 13-18 years of age is the most ideal age for the development of speed, strength and power over an athlete’s lifetime.  Therefore our Parisi Performance Coaches focus on the details and critical specifics that are the basis for athletic success.

Our Focus is:

Linear Speed: Signature straight-ahead acceleration and top-speed running techniques.

Change of Direction: Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.

Upper & Lower Body Strength: Strength training exercises for muscular development and injury prevention.

Hybrid:  This class integrate two the above elements.  It caters to the athletes to show up.  The goal is to use this class to make up training technique the athletes has missed.  It will always have a high level of conditioning.

PEAK 

The Parisi PEAK Program (stand for Parisi Elite Athletic Knowledge) was created for elite athletes who aspire to compete at the highest levels. The programs focus on each individual’s needs and desired improvements for his or her specific sport. PEAK can be added to the Jump Start and Total Performance programming to provide a comprehensive athletic training regiment, or it can stand on its own and be tailored to the specific needs of the athlete.

PEAK has an intense focus on specific strength and speed training techniques. These are centered around an athlete’s individual needs, recovery, nutrition and regeneration. The training is unmatched in its intensity. Our Parisi Coaches use advanced training methodologies and tools to help athletes break through previous speed and strength plateaus. The training will help the athlete reach new heights of athletic performance. Coaches also monitor progress and plan progressions that are specific to each athlete’s goals and capabilities.

These training sessions are essentially a semi-private with no more than 4 athletes per session.  PEAK sessions are also created for groups of athletes that want to train together.  These sessions focus on the athletes individual needs and areas that need improvement in their sport.
