3 Best Salads in the West Loop

Salads have long been a staple of healthy eating, but they’re more than just a side dish—they can make for a satisfying, nutrient-packed dinner that’s both versatile and delicious. Here’s why salads deserve a place at your dinner table. Salads aren’t just for sides—they’ve evolved into a satisfying, nutrient-rich main course that’s as delicious as it is versatile. Whether you’re craving a light, refreshing meal or a hearty, protein-packed bowl, salads can be customized to meet any taste and dietary preference.

Beatrix - Beatrix offers a wide selection of fresh, health-conscious options, but there are two salads that I love.

  • Baja Chopped Salad - avocado, spicy black bean, charred corn, pico de gallo, pineapple, queso fresco, cilantro ranch
  • Ginger Chicken & Kale Salad - napa cabbage, cashew, crispy noodles, citrus-sesame dressing

Parlour - Parlour may be one of the West Loop’s best hangouts with fantastic beers on drafts.  But there is one salad that I get delivered regularly.

  • Super Green Salad -spinach, kale, romaine, parmesan, green olives, steamed broccoli & asparagus,  diced avocado, pistachios, chilli flakes, avocado vinaigrette

Lola’s Chicago is tucked away in the 1000 W Washington building and offers a great menu with a southwestern salad that needs no sides.

  • Santa Fe Grilled Mediterranean- sweet corn, black beans, pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, avocado, crispy tortilla strips, chipotle ranch dressing
