Henry Dooley

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I played lacrosse and boxed most of my childhood before being recruited by numerous DII and DIII schools. I went on to play NAIA at Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana, for two years before attempting to walk on to the DI team at the University of Denver.

After an unsuccessful attempt, I decided to step away from lacrosse and move to Los Angeles to focus on boxing. While in Los Angeles, I began training at JFM boxing club. The owner, Jordan Muir, later opened a second gym in West Hollywood, where I was hired as the co-head coach. During this time, I began training Muay Thai with 135lbs Cali Muay Thai Amateur Champion Matthias Hermant.

After a very successful year and a half, I returned home to attend Colorado State University to finish my degree. While finishing my degree, I used the remainder of my eligibility to play lacrosse for CSU. During this time, I also continued my training at Prodigy House Muay Thai, while teaching kids and teen classes there. After graduating with degrees in Journalism and Marketing, I worked as the Social Media Marketing and Public Relations Manager for a heated jacket company called Gobi Heat. I then worked for Golf.com as their social media manager in Scottsdale, Arizona, where I continued to train at Golden Era Muay Thai.

After a year in Arizona, the heat finally got to me, and I decided to move here to Chicago to be closer to friends and family. I was lucky enough to join the POW! family and have enjoyed teaching youth boxing and Muay Thai during my time here so far!
